First Latino Equestrian Therapy Services on Eastside of Los Angeles

With non-profit events being canceled left and right, the Palomino Board of Directors celebrates the launch of one of the first Latino Equestrian Therapy Services on the Eastside of Los Angeles at their Cinco de Mayo event. The Board believes that "the show must go on" in order to exemplify leadership during these turbulent economic times. "We have a mission to serve disabled, underserved and high risk individuals with horseback therapeutic riding to enhancing their quality of life." WHAT: Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser.


Come enjoy Mariachi, Banda, Horse Show, Roping Show and other live entertainment. Festive Food will be served and come bid on Latino Art and Silent Auction.


This event is an opportunity to learn about Palomino as well as help contribute needed funds that will support equestrian therapy services offered at the Palomino Ranch. Notable Attendees, Senator Gil Cedillo, Mayor Louie Lujan, our leadership as well as business supporters such as: Pals, LLC, State Farm, Banco Popular, ACS Group, & Los Angeles County officials, to name a few.

BACKGROUND: The aim of Palomino Equestrian Therapy Services is to provide services which are both person centered and inclusive to the disabled, high risk and underserved community. Services will be provided based on the individual's level of comfort, ability and will range from basic grooming to basic riding as therapy. The target population includes:

????Services for adults with developmental disabilities
????Services for high risk youth
????Services for community members seeking a better understanding of basic riding skills

Equestrian therapy offers an excellent means of physical activity that aids in improving balance, posture, coordination, and most importantly, the development of a positive attitude and sense of accomplishment.
